Registered Manager

Responsibilities

  • Service Leadership: Take overall responsibility for the operational leadership and development of Frank House Care Services Ltd’s domiciliary care service.
  • CQC Registration: Register with the CQC as the Registered Manager for the service and lead the service through regulatory requirements.
  • CQC Compliance: Lead the service in achieving and maintaining a minimum GOOD CQC rating, ensuring compliance across all CQC Key Lines of Enquiry.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee audits, compliance checks, service improvement plans, safeguarding, governance, and quality monitoring.
  • Care Delivery: Ensure care is delivered safely, effectively, and in line with individual care plans, company policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Business Growth: Support the growth of the service by increasing billable care hours, developing packages, and maintaining strong working relationships with commissioners and external professionals.
  • Team Management: Manage and support office staff, care coordinators, team leaders, and care staff, promoting a positive and professional working culture.
  • Staff Compliance: Monitor recruitment, retention, training, supervision, spot checks, competency assessments, and workforce compliance.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure accurate, detailed, and audit-ready documentation is maintained across the service at all times.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain effective relationships with local authorities, CHC teams, healthcare professionals, families, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary care is essential.
  • CQC Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, inspection processes, and compliance standards.
  • Inspection Experience: Experience supporting a service through first CQC registration and/or first inspection process preferred.
  • Growth Experience: Proven experience growing billable care hours within a domiciliary care setting.
  • Leadership and Operational Skills: Excellent leadership, organisational, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced care environment.
  • Driving: Valid driver’s license with business insurance and reliable transportation. Mileage reimbursed at £0.55 per mile.

Pay Structure and Benefits

  • Probationary Period: 6-month period with pay based on qualification level post probation.
  • Salary: Starting from £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • CQC Bonus: £5,000 salary increase upon achieving a minimum GOOD CQC rating.
  • Performance Bonus: Performance and growth-related bonus structure available.
  • Additional Bonuses: Further negotiable bonuses available depending on experience and agreed targets.
  • Mileage: Mileage allowance of 55p per mile.

Team Leader / Senior

Responsibilities

  • Operational Support: Support the day-to-day delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care services across the community and office.

  • Community Support: Provide support to care staff within the community and assist with shift leadership duties where required.

  • On-Call Duties: Participate in the management on-call rota on a shared basis.

  • Staff Mentoring: Mentor, support, and shadow new care staff to help them develop confidence, skills, and understanding of company standards.

  • Competency Checks: Complete spot checks, observations, and competency assessments, signing off staff competencies where appropriate.

  • Medication and Documentation: Support medication audits, care documentation reviews, and accurate record keeping.

  • Office Support: Assist with office-based responsibilities including rota support, compliance monitoring, staff communication, and general operational tasks.

  • Office Cover: Provide cover for office-based staff when required.

  • Care Standards: Promote safe, effective, and person-centred care practices in line with company policies and expectations.

  • Communication: Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with management, care staff, professionals, clients, and families.

  • Professional Relationships: Build positive relationships with clients, families, healthcare professionals, external agencies, and the wider community.

  • Company Representation: Attend recruitment events, community fayres, networking opportunities, and promotional activities on behalf of the company.

  • Service Development: Support the ongoing growth, professional standards, and development of Frank House Care Services Ltd.

Requirements

  • Experience: Previous experience within domiciliary care or community support services is essential.

  • Skills: Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • On-Call: Willingness to participate in a shared on-call rota.

  • Driving: Full UK driving licence required & Own vehicle with valid business insurance required.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualification: NVQ / Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care preferred.

  • Competency Assessments: Experience completing spot checks, observations, and competency assessments.
  • Compliance: Understanding of CQC standards and person-centred care.
  • Operational Experience: Previous experience supporting compliance, rota, or operational tasks within care services.

  • Community Engagement: Support participation in activities such as shopping, cinema, swimming, and sporting events.
  • Skill Development: Facilitate the development of independent living and social skills.
  • Safety and Inclusion: Promote a safe, inclusive environment for all individuals.
